KSBJ's 24th anniversary concert

"It's real, it's free, it's fun..." (Newsboys, Take Me To Your Leader)

I am not ashamed to say I had fun at KSBJ's 24th anniversary concert!

Isn't it awesome that Jesus died that we might have life more abundantly, so we can have fun at concerts? We can just take a break from the hustle and bustle of our respective lives, concentrate on Jesus and enjoy some good music.

My sister and I sat under a perfect Texas sky tonight and watched an amazing concert. We got there a little late so I unfortunately didn't catch Josh Bates or Ana Laura, but it was one act after another lifting up the name of Jesus.

I sat on the lawn, which in my opinion is the best place to catch a show at that particular venue when the weather is nice. Anyway, somewhere near the halfway point of the Newsboys set, my sister looked over and said, "This may be be the coolest concert ever."

"Ever?" I asked.

"Ever," she quickly responded.

"You mean, in the history of live music, we are viewing the best concert ever performed?" I asked.

"I think that might be possible."

I really was having a good time, but the best show ever?

As you can see, I wasn't the only person having fun. I kept wishing the Princess was there with me!

And, how about the Gatorade guy? The folks on the lawn know what I'm talking about. There was a guy walking from one side of the lawn to his spot on the grass on the other side of the lawn, balancing a Gatorade bottle on his head.

Then he came walking back the other way, Gatorade bottle balanced on his head again. It was weird, but somewhat entertaining. Like the guy who transformed a large popcorn container into a hat and was wearing a cape.

Yeah, the lawn was different for this one. But what an incredible time in the Lord...great praise and worship, too.

The only thing that could top it off would be finding out our beloved Astros had done well. I got home, turned on the computer machine, and surprise!! Turns out, they had fun too!

It's definately in the morning. We usually have fun in church. John
